Somewhere, somehow, there is a mapping within Firefox that neatly
provides a proper human-readable name for the Java 5 javaws, and makes
it the default. I cannot find this mapping, not set up a new one for the
Java 6 javaws.

I'm not sure, but my guess would be that there's no MIME-type mapping
which associates the javaws from your Java 6 with content of type
application/x-java-jnlp-file.

Anyway, this cosmetic issue aside, is there still a *real* problem?
