Upgrading from gutsy gibbon to hardy heron

greetings,

I am currently using ubuntu 7.10 that I have tweaked up to some extent but will love to move up ubuntu 8.04 using the distro CD without having to do a fresh installation. pls can I get a heads up? thanks--
