Thanks Clayton. I'm seriously contemplating VirtualBox so your points
have clinched it for me.

Make sure you read up on the documentation - it is fairly well written
- and check around for the USB howtos.... will reduce the "new
application frustration" because it does work differently compared to
VMWare.
