Append the line
options ipw2200 led=1
to the file "/etc/modprobe.d/options". You should open the file as root
e.g. with this command in a terminal:
sudo gksu gedit /etc/modprobe.d/options
Then reboot the machine or as an alternative you can enter these commands
in a terminal:
sudo rmmod ipw2200
sudo modprobe ipw2200
