The only time I got it to work was from using a package for gentoo
linux, but that seems like a dns problem. You do have DNS working on
the system, I take it? Can it look up checkip.dyndns.com?

My script was created by the dyndns site and so I'm thinking it
should have the right values. I don't think it has ever worked.
