How can i connect to internet through dial up modem while using ubuntu7.10

Helix works, but I'd recommend using RealPlayer (uses the Helix
engine/code but adds a few more codecs):

Click the download button & download the bin file.
Double-click the downloaded bin file & the install manager will install
RP for your. You'll then find RealPlayer 10 in your Applications|Sound &
Video menu.
I couldn't get Helix to work, but I discovered quite by accident that the
Totem Movie Player does a SUPER job playing them.
