Re: another interesting video problem VLC won't play dvd

Still have the same problem, some dvds not playing. When I typed

$ sudo apt-get install libdvdcss2

I got

Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Package libdvdcss2 is not available, but is referred to by another package.
This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or
is only available from another source
E: Package libdvdcss2 has no installation candidate

So I don't seem to able to download libdvdcss2

Any suggestions?

I've run across several dvd's that do not work in VLC and Totem.
Error message from Totem is 'are you trying to run dvd without
libdvdcss?' Do I need to download this and if so would you suggest a
site? I found many versions on /linux.softpedia.com. Some are
debian, others redhat and the other labeled sources mirror one. What
should I do?
