Reconfigure xorg

|I am in the reconfiguring of xorg. This is by the command "||sudo
dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg". ||I am to the point where the
instructions say to select the resolution rates you want. The
instructions say selecting all is the same as selecting none. I do not
understand how to operate the selection in instance.
Would someone be able to explain its operation to me?
