Hi,
I have compiled a kernel some months ago due to a misconfiguration in
the ACER Bios. Well this is working perfectly now. It is : *2.6.24.3.*
Now I have warnings about new kernel *2.6.22.15* via Update Manager. If
I update, will it remove my old kernel (2.6.24.3) ? How can I manage
this problem, knowing that I want to keep 2.6.24.3 and if possible, do
not be alerted by new kernel software.

Installing 2.6.22.15 won't remove your 2.6.24.3. Being notified of
updates isn't so bad. You can update when you're ready. If the
notifications bother you so much, you can right click the "update
notifications" icon and uncheck "show notifications."
