I have a small problem, cups does not want to work. When I go to
system -> administration -> printing and click on go to server the
connect to cups window server pops up with /var/run/cups/cups.sock and
my username in the user name box.
The error message is the following:
CUPS server error
There was an error during the CUPS operation: 'httpConnectionEncrypt
failed'
In the /var/log/messages the following appears when I restart the
cupsys in init.d as root.

I have searched yahoo and google for a solution and cannot find a
solution. I have seen several messages similar to mine with no
resolution. I have even uninstalled cups and reinstalled cups to see
if that would resolve the problem. After coming to a dead end I turn
to the list wizards for help.
Any help would be appreciated.

they set up the printer just like it was on Gutsy and it works.
All your reload and long list of data means nothing to me. Lets go
back to the beginning. What kind of printer do you have? Did you find it
in the list of supported printers? Did you have it plugged in when you
ran the printer setup software?
