diskless, nfsroot and usplash ..

I am creating a diskless desktop system based on Ubuntu 8.04 and i have
run into a problem with usplash.

On the "golden" client usplash works as expected, i.e. displays at
startup and disappears moments before X.

However when i boot from nfs the splash displays at startup (i.e. from
initramfs) but as soon as 'root' is switched to the NFS mount and "exec
run-init" it disappears and all the rc messages are visible.

Any idea why that would be occurring?

Thanks,

Ben
