Beg borrow or buy (they are VERY cheap) a USB HDD enclosure, the ones
for 2.5" form factor drives. Extract the hard disk from your laptop (it
will be easier than you think). Put it in the enclosure, then attach the
enclosure to some other PC and extract what you need from the drive
(assuming it is still there).
If you cannot mount the disk at all, or the data you need doesn't seem
to be there any more, then it is time to get expert help (or give up).
