Hello,

I've added a connection to my web site ftp server in File Browser, but
it's not working right. I selected "ftp with login" as type of connection.

For some reason it will not show any folders. All I get is the top level
folder which contains only a small text file which is a note from my
hosting service about enabling Frontpage extensions.

I'm being hosted on a Windows server, is this the problem?

I'd really like to try out this method of access to my site, but if it's
not possible it no big deal as I have a good ftp program which connects
to the site no problem.

Hi Ray,

You may need to add a directory to the URL of the FTP server. I've seen
that before with some servers, your default ftp directory is empty, but
if you type in the name of the directory you are supposed to be in, it
figures it out and sends you to the right place

Hello again,

Here is some more info. It's an odd server set up at my hosting service.
In my ftp client the folder structure is as follows.

/
/u******** [folder named with my ftp user number]
/links [folder where one of my domains is served from]
/Poetry [folder where my other domain is served from]

In file browser all that loads is the root folder shown above and the
url in the location box looks like this -

ftp://u********@www.rayslinks.com/ [the *'s represent my ftp user number]

Also in file browser I can see the one text file which resides in the /
folder of the server, but it lists no folders below that. I've tried
typing the folder names into the location box but they all return the
error that no such folder exists.
