i should format and see? (booting from live cd didn't work though)
or replace with a new router?

Hello arshad,

I suggest resetting your router to default factory settings.
This usually means:
* unplug the power
* hold a reset button with the tip of a pencil
* plug the powefr back in while holding the reset button
* keep the reset button pressed for another 30 seconds
* release the reset button

Usually you will see lights flashing on your router.
The exact procedure may be different for your router, you may have to
look it up in the manual.
