Google Earth fails

I'm running 9.10 ; anybody seen this one:
Just set up the Medibuntu repository and installed Google Earth. I get
the spash screen and then nothing. If I run googleearth from the
command line I get this:
e apologize for the inconvenience, but Google Earth has crashed.
This is a bug in the program, and should never happen under normal
circumstances. A bug report and debugging data have been written
to this text file:
/home/wil/.googleearth/crashlogs/crashlog-4b7d8377.txt
This file contains:
