Hello, everyone. I'm using Ubuntu 10.4 and installed Mysql server. Since
I don't use Mysql all the time, I prefer starting it manually when
needed rather than automatically at boot. I am SURE that all S80mysql
symbolic links in /etc/rc*.d had been moved to K80mysql, but Mysql still
start automaticaly. Is there any other thing causing Mysql start at
boot?
I have 3 mysql related scripts on my hardy install
$ ls -l /etc/init.d/mysql*
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 5755 2008-11-14 17:05 /etc/init.d/mysql
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 2515 2008-11-14 17:05 /etc/init.d/mysql-ndb
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 1905 2008-11-14 17:05 /etc/init.d/mysql-ndb-mgm
Maybe you should check if you have anything similar
btw, not the problem, but S and K numbers should sum 100. You probably
meant "...all S20mysql ...had been moved to K80mysql", right?
Regards
