I have an ASUS Motherboard with built in audio and I am trying to get it
to work with by ubuntu. the same machine with XP the audio works fine
so that takes the motherboard and speakers out of the question.
I am not able to get the ubuntu system sounds to play. I am not able to
get vlc, rhythmbox, and amarok to work and play audio out the speakers
output jack. The same external jack that XP can play audio out just fine.
so what are the steps to troubleshooting audio to get it to work with
ubuntu?
has been done to death at least 3x since 2 months ago.
