I'm not seeing that version of the flash player at all:
$ apt-cache show flashplugin-nonfree
The package wanting to update is adobe-flashplugin
Interesting - that doesn't show up even in my Synaptic listing. What
am I missing?
On a couple of machines I've had to apt-get install adobe-flashplugin as it was originally installed using flashplugin-installer. This un-installs flashplugin-installer so if there is a problem with the new version of the plugin you can revert to the 10.1 version with apt-get install flashplugin-installer.
