Remember that their gallons are smaller than real gallons. But even
so, you are right.
US Gallon = 4 quarts
Imperial Gallon = 5 quarts
Mileage in Imperial Gallons = 38.75
How does that contrast with current european[real world] mileage?
Not quite (for the Imperial gallon). It's 1 Imperial Gallon = 4
Imperial Quarts = 4.8 US Quarts
