Last but not the least, please do let me know if it would support data card
of Alcatel and 3G connection ( for internet).
As to this question, you can find out on your own. As suggested earlier,
when you boot from the Ubuntu LiveCD (by selecting 'Try Ubuntu without
Installing'), you can insert your data card and test your 3G connection. It
may be possible that there is a User Guide for Linux users for that specific
data card. Otherwise, you might get some information on the Internet.
In any case, you will be able to find out whether your card is supported or
not, before you even install Ubuntu.
