I picked up on the preceding answers to the question of removing
directories, because I thought, the person asking the question doesn't
yet know enough to be doing what he seems to be doing. So my answer
for this person is, read two or three books about working in a Linux
environment, and then, I suggest:
1) Eric Raymond, New Hacker's Dictionary, 3rd ed. (or later).
2) Running Linux, from O'Reilly, latest.
3) Jon "maddog" Hall, Linux for Dummies, 2nd ed. (or later).
I think Hall's "maddog" name is worse than unfortunate; but his book
is useful. If shopping for, there is at least one other Linux for
Dummies out there that looks alike on the outside: look for the one by
*Hall*.
