While one has to admire the current stance of the company, the statement:

"We pass our old computers down. The guys in engineering need a new PC, so
they get one and we pass theirs on to somebody doing clerical work. Well, if
you don't wipe the hard drive on that PC, that's a violation."

is pure bullshit. He wasn't busted for giving a PC with copyrighted software
to someone else within the organization without "wiping" the disk.

He was busted for installing copies of licensed software on those computers
without paying for additional licenses, plain and simple.

'Fess up and move on to something better, which is where he's at now.
