    Hi All,

I was looking for advice on a nice Linux distribution; I am planning to
build a new system... I dual boot (i.e. Win98 for games, linux for work
and some games) and wanted to know peoples advice on a nice distribution,
the hardware I _intend_ to use is:

nForce2 motherboard (so sound and networkd card already there)
nVidia GeForce 4 or FX card

and I have read/heard that some distros do not like the nForce
motherboard, though the nVidia site has rpms for Mandrake 8.2, 9.0, 9.1
for Redhat 7.3,8.0 and 9.0 and for Suse 8.1 and 8.2 of course there are
tarballs as well, but that looks a little harder to get working....
currently I use Redhat 7.3, but well, I would like to upgrade the Linux
when I upgrade the hardware so that I have a newer version of gcc (the
RedHat7.3 uses gcc version 2.96, and reconfiguring the system for a new
gcc requires getting ut, and then recompliing the kernel as well since
2.96 and 3.x gcc stuff I have read do not get along at all) so any advices
out there? in the nForce a badchipset to use?

     -Kevin
