Slackware 9.1 (the first disk only.)
Try "expert" install at least: a, ap, l, n, x, xap.
And choose only packages you need there.
Most other distros you'd have to slim down quite a bit, though should
work as well. And either stick with TWM:

Or use a slick, fast 'n stable windows manager such as FVWM:

Maybe use "rpm2tgz" and install this, as well:

What ever you do though, be sure to recompile the kernel slim as possible,
and for i586. I'd do this on a faster box though (put an "extra" extention
in /usr/src/linux/Makefile), and copy the bzImage, System.map and
/lib/modules/* over to the P90.
