I think you need to specify yourself a bit more.
Is this a user who has loggend in locally on the machine (using the
gdm/kdm/xdm login manager), or is this a remote user using ssh, remote user
using ppp/slip connections to the machine, or this users who are logged into
their own machine but using the box as a NAT/gateway ?
