hello,
i just installed suse 9 a couple days ago and this is the second time that i
can't log into my linux account anymore. i can log in in textmode, but when
i try to log into KDE or Gnome my screens turn off for a second, turn back
on and take me back to the login screen (graphical). Everything was working
fine before, but i've just installed a little program in YAST and can't get
back in.
Last time this happened i tried to run the Saxx test server and the monitors
would not come back on. (i'm not sure if this has anything to do with it -
i'm using multihead... but even if i turn multihead off as root, it still
doesn't work)
a way to work around this is to make a new user... the thing is that i don't
want to create a new user twice a week. what is wrong with this? if i don't
find a way around this i'll have to go back to win... hope this is not
gonna happen :(.
thanks for your help,
Chris
