Mozilla 6 font selection problems

I am using Red Hat Linux 9, which I recently installed. It came with Mozilla
1.21 installed.

I went to the mozilla site and downloaded the new 1.6. After installing it,
the new 1.6 has different font choices than my regular 1.21 version. The
1.21 version uses the "sans" and "sans serif" system fonts. The new 1.6
will not let me choose these. Instead it gives options for some adobe fonts
and others, all of which seem not very antialiased or very good looking.

How can I make 1.6 use the same font list as my 1.2? I don't understand.

Thanks!
