Hi,
I'm having trouble configuring a Exabyte 8200 tape drive.
The tape and drive are both functional -- tested with exabyte diagnostic
software -- passed all tests.
Using RH 9.0 - scsi system disk, cdrom and tape.
When I attempt to use mt status or anyother mt commands I receive the
following error: /dev/tape : no such file or directory
If I add the /tape dir to to /dev I get the following error:
/dev/tape: Inappropriate ioctl for device
If I add /dev/st0 to /etc/fstab I receive an error on boot that the
line is invalid in fstab.
Any Ideas on how to relsove this would be appreciated.
I haven't had any problems with a floppy based tape drive I use on
another system.
Thanx
Julian
