While staring, I get this:
cdrdao does not run with root privileges
It is highly recommended to configure cdrdao to run with root privileges to
increase the overall stability of the burning process.
Solution: Use K3bSetup to solve this problem.
executing k3bsetup as root results in something like this:
[root@maciek scx]# k3bsetup
kcontrol: ERROR: k3bsetup2 not found!
QMutex::unlock: unlock from different thread than locker
was locked by 0, unlock attempt from 16384
where is this k3bsetup2 ????
