Make syslogd write facility and priority

Hello all,
I'm running SuSE 9. Is there a way to make syslogd write the facility and
priority to the log files? On some Unix versions, there's the "-v" option
for "verbose". The syslogd on Linux has the "-v" just to print out the
version.
Thanks in advance,
Jose
