I run a linux server from home and I've been having problems with my
modem crashing. It's OK when it happens while I'm home, I can just
yank the plug and put it back in, but when I'm at work of course I
can't do that.
It would be great if the server (which can run for weeks without
crashing) could detect whether it was connected to the net and power
the modem off and on if it wasn't.
Is there an off the shelf solution to this problem or will I have to
build one?
Aurora
