Forget about X in 8M, TMK there is no wm light enough to do this. I have
messed around with a 4M 486 laptop, by pulling thr hard drive and installing
Slack9.1, then rebuilding the kernel (pared to its bare minimum) and installing
the drive back into the laptop, I was able to boot a 2.4.24 under Slack9.1
on it. It was a truly pathetic experience, even in the CLI (took about 5 min
to boot <grin>), but it worked. Your 8M of RAM would help there. Older versions
of Slackware, say 4.0 would probably "work" also. Additionally, look at:
