Greetings CJ,

I have a local spool/server here called "slrnpull". Works fine. It polls the
various newsservers I am interested in and then I read from the various spools
with slrn, sending any posts to the various spools, and slrnpull uploads them
at the same time it looks for new posts.

Pretty simple to set up. You just need a different SLRNPULL_ROOT (directory)
for each server and to point slrn at each of them in turn to read and post.

Noffle, cnews, and sn are some other similar tools that are available.

Doing it manually is very instructive, however...

google rfc977 and rfc2980 for more details on talking to newsservers.
