Can linux image NTFS?

    I’ve heard of Linux providing plenty of free software comparable to
    expensive Windows programs, so I wondered if Linux might be of
    assistance with this task:

    I am looking for freeware to backup my NTFS partitions. I used Knoppix
    and discovered I could access NTFS partitions. I know Linux isn’t
    supposed to run on NTFS, but is there a Linux program that can image and
    restore NTFS partitions?
