a) what is the general consensus about Sun's version of Linux "Java
Desktop System"?
b) Using it as a newbie how does it rate?
c) Difficult to install?
d) Would be wise just to let me have it ... any and all info you Linux
folks have. I'm building a scrap heap from an acient AMD K-6 (450mhz)
and I want to put Linux on it. I've got Mandrake Official, SuSE Pro, and
Java Desktop, but I'm not sure about which would give me the best
expereince as a newb. I eventually will get the hang of all but for now
I need something newbish and as simple as possible. I'm fairly
comfortable in windows but would like a change!
