I'm running Fedora 2 on an Asus SN7 nForce2 motherboard and have
just installed the update drivers from Nvidia for their chip-based
Ethernet, USB and sound components. The Ethernet and USB work fine,
both in operation and in the entries made in /var/log/messages.

The sound works, too, somewhat. I can play CDs and audio files, but
every once in a while I get spurious entries in /var/log/messages,
    such as:

Sep 23 00:26:43 hts04 kernel: Nvsound: Set format as 10
    Sep 23 00:26:43 hts04 kernel: Nvsound: Value a000c
    Sep 23 00:26:43 hts04 kernel: Nvsound: fragment size a fragnum c
    Sep 23 00:27:44 hts04 kernel: Nvsound: Nvaudio_release

    Sep 23 00:35:08 hts04 kernel: Nvsound: Nvaudio_release
Sep 23 00:43:26 hts04 kernel: Nvsound: Set format as 10

    Sep 23 00:44:27 hts04 kernel: Nvsound: Nvaudio_release

    Sep 23 00:51:24 hts04 kernel: Nvsound: Nvaudio_release

I get these log entries apparently only when I do something that
causes a beep alert, only I don't hear any beeps.

Here is the output to dmesg:

Mind you, one reason for loading the Nvidia updates was to get the
beep alerts again, which I lost some time ago.

Any ideas about the log entries?
