I am running Mandrake 9.2. From root I can access all of my drives and
do whatever I want. But from my user account I am prevented from
accessing all of the computer's hard drives.
I made the user account part of the root group (and all of the other
25 that are listed) but am still not allowed access.
I could just always use the root account, but I prefer to have things
    work as advertised.
    Any suggestions are welcome.
