Hi,
I installed SuSe Linux 8.2 on my laptop en most things work except for
the virtual console. I can startup KDE and before KDE is opened I get a
nice console running on 1024x768 and 16bit colors. But when I press
ctrl-alt-f1 (or f2, f3 ...) than I get distorted, ureadable screen.
When pressing c-a-f1 I can see there's a graphical console, but I can
only see it as two small collums on the left side, the rest of the
screen consists of vertical stripes.
Can I solve this? I tried different resolution in YAST and several
options with vga= at startup, but nothing seems to work. Before KDE
startsup, a nice console, after that a disaster!
