I have asked this question on the Mandrake group but no one has
answered, and in the meantime I have come to the conclusion that the
problem is more on the client side.
My problem is that when I try to mount my workstation with the command
# mount Server:/path/on/server/ /path/on/workstation/ -o nfsvers=2
I get the answer writen as subject.
(I don't write Server but the IP address though.)
On the server I get the answer "nfsd ... is running" when I ask for
status, and rcpinfp -p shows occurrences of portmapper, nfs, and mountd.
Why won't my workstaion connect to the server?
My server was originaly configured with Mandrake 10.0 but I have
upgraded a great deal of the packages to those from 10.1 resently and
the workstation is configured with Fedora Core 2.
