Hi every one.
I downloaded a Knoppix.V3.6-2004 ISO and put it on CD. It will not install
on the hard drive just load. I found out looking on the net you have to give
it this command:
sudo knoppix-installer
But then it brings up a format program and you have to say what type of
format. 128 swop and boot and data for the rest. The program I could not
figger out how to set up up good because exiting it the install would say
it's not set up right and you can only go back to it or exit.
So I rebooted with a Trustix Linux CD in it. I told it to auto format the
hard drive and it did. After it did that I rebooted with the Knoppix CD in
it. I had to right click on both partitions and tell that the drive was not
a read only. Then I opened a command window and typed sudo knoppix-installer
and it installed.
I wanted to install webmin.rpm and knoppix don't like it. So I installed it
with the webmin.gz file and it worked.
I just wanted to let people know this because I could not set up it to
format it right and I could not find any place on the web that told how.
