Dosbox is a Dos emulator that lets you play DOS abondon ware.
(I am quite fond of lots of old DOS games...)
I have used it successfully on WIN2000 machines to run old DOS games.
Trying to install Dosbox on my Mandrake 9.1 Linux machine.
I have the archive file.
I can unpack it to a directory under my home directory.
(just "click" on it and the archive program fires up - very nice..)
I found a "make" script.
(I found heaps of files telling me the names of the authors etc but
nothing useful saying "do this, this and this "...)
I can execute the make script (Not from galeon - I dont know why - but
if I open a terminal and type the name of the script it runs...)
The script busilly does its thing until it stops with an error message
saying it cant find ISL (or something like that)
I havent got the least idea what ISL (or whatever it is) *is* and how
to find it.
There doesnt seem to be any help I can find.
Any ideas?
In general if some installation says "cant find xyz" where should I
begin looking?
Perhaps I have "xyz" on my machine somewhere (Mandrake has everything
and the kitchen sink generally...) and I need to set a path to it?
This is basic stuff I know.
Any help appreciated.
Mark.
