What's the best way to determine if a user is logged onto a windows network?
Specifically, one using a domain controller and all the funky NetBIOS stuff
enabled.

would this command:
net lookup bobtheuser#03
Do the trick? Oh, and before anyone accosts me, Samba does support the NET
command now, I'm not just being stupid :-)

I don't think my way works, are there any alternatives?

Ewan
