I am starting research on a system inventory tool to help with popular
Linux problems. The tool will gather information about a user's
system and print the information. It is designed to help out someone
who is debugging a problem and is always asking the same type of
questions over and over, for instance, "What version of Linux are you
running?". All the user would have to do is run this tool to send the
general system info to the debugger. I am not extremely familiar with
Linux and I need info what kinds of system information is usefull for
debugging problems in Linux?
