A linux box can accept dial-in calls from an XP notebook (first part of log
below) but i could not figure out why win98 or Win ME could not connect as
shown on the bottom part of the log. I have toyed with the win98 settings
enabling and disabling compression, etc. without success. I have deleted
and reinstalled dial-up networking with no luck still. Could anyone offer
any other idea i could try? Was using an internal modem with the XP
notebook and an external modem (Rockwell) with the win98/ME desktop machine.
