Security error in my web directory in FC3... Need help please.

Hi,

I upgraded my RedHat 9 to the new distribution of Fedora Core 3 (RedHat
based) but I have an weird security error... : " Your 'XYZ' directory is not
'writable'by the server...( I mean my Web server)". Even if I chmod it with
777, The problem still there. If I logon directly on my Linux console with
any existing user, I can do anything I want in that directory... (!?!).

Q- Need I configure something more in Apache (e.g. .htaccess file or some
other config lines to add)

I have tried many things but I need more brains (you as well) to help me to
think...
