Fedora linux distro ???

Anybody here tried Fedora? Please let me know your experience with it. I
have been using Mandrake for a couple of years now and have liked it, but I
am wanting to explore Fedora (burning Fedora 3 isos as I type this)-- has
same rpm package system and lots of books written on it (so far no books on
mandrake). My understanding is that Fedora is a free distro offshoot of
Redhat. (I have been a bit disconcerted seeing Mandrake move more towards
the commercial end of the spectrum, goes against my opensouce software for
the people philosophy).
