1. A newbie needs to just be up, and running, to see what is there.
2. a newbie doesn't want to be messing with network setup, desktop
configuration files, the /etc/fstab or etc/apt directories...
So, I always start newbies with a Live CDrom Knoppix version that runs in
CD, loads up in the RAM, and usually finds all the resources, in 99.99% of
