I am using Knoppix 3.8
I am using Knoppix to do Data Recovery.
What I want to do is make a list of all the file names on the hard drive
(Windows Drive C:) and save the list in a text file called Filea.txt .
The hard drive is /dev/hda1 and it's mount point is /mnt/hda1
I want to save (or copy) Filea.txt to an External USB hard drive.
The external drive is /dev/uba1 and it's mount point is /mnt/uba1
I set the permissions on the External drive so I can read and write on it.
This works fine, I can read and write to it.
What commands shoul I enter in a command window.
Thanks
