Hello all:

I am new to Linux. I am trying to get my home network to recognize my
Linux set up. I am currently running on an Athlon XP system where my hard
drive has been partitioned for use with Linux. My Ethernet connection is
propietary to the motherboard which is a DFI motherboard. Basically, I am
able to get the network to recognize my Network Group that is set up
through my Linux network settings (??) especially on my Mac which is
running OSX, it sees it I can access it up to the point where it will ask
for SMB/CIFS Authentication then it will bring up a message saying that
the alias "MDKGROUP" could not be opened, because the original item cannot
be found. What am I doing wrong? Maybe I should provide more info about
what connections I'm running on my Linux box so let me know what info is
needed and hopefully I can get this small problem ironed out.

Thanks in advance.

D.C.
