You've already got a free operating system! Now that's not good enough
for you? You need free messengers that have every feature of all the
proprietary ones?
I'm only having you on, but still, I don't think there is one. GAIM is
the only one that I know of (and use), but it can't do voice
conversations or video conversations (well, my version can't anyway),
but check out www.freshmeat.net for any messengers that may have popped
up recently.
If you find one let me know... I'm not in dire need of voice
conversations, but it is handy when you have lots you need to type and
don't want to constantly switch between windows.
